Entrepreneur. Founder of Empresarios. Husband. Father.
His mother came over to this country from Mexico and worked two full time jobs to give her children a chance. Carlos is building on that sacrifice to change what comes next.
Born in Mexico and brought to the United States as a young boy, Carlos Reyes was raised by a single mother working two $8.25-an-hour jobs to support three children. His first example of work ethic came from watching her do whatever it took to keep her family moving forward.
That foundation will feel familiar to many Mexican American business owners: parents who sacrificed, a household that depended on them, and the responsibility to make those sacrifices count.
After 14 years in corporate America, Carlos bet on himself and stepped into entrepreneurship. He has since owned, built, or been involved in more than 30 companies across industries including construction, flooring, real estate, and technology.
Growing a company should create a better life for your family. Yet without leadership, structure, and support, the business can consume the very life you’re working to improve.
That is the mission behind Empresarios, the community Carlos founded to help Mexican American entrepreneurs become stronger leaders, build better businesses, understand their money, and create lasting wealth.
It is a place for owners who want to honor the work ethic they inherited while developing the knowledge, relationships, and discipline their next chapter requires.
Today, Carlos and his wife are raising two daughters and a son in Glendale, Arizona. His faith and family give purpose to the work and remind him that providing for his children also means being present for them.
His mother’s sacrifice opened a door. His mission is to help more families walk through one and leave it open for the next generation.
God. Family. Hustle.
